O R D E R:-

 

           In pursuance of the provisions of  13 (10 (b) of Andhra Pradesh Public Libraries Act, 1960 the Government have issued instructions as detailed in Annexure I of the GO First read above for selection and purchase of books under the control of Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas in the State.  In the GO 2nd read above modified orders were issued for apportionment of funds between district Libraries and branch Libraries.

 

2.       Subsequently, In suppression of the GO Ist & 2nd read above and all orders and instructions issued there upon from time to time and by virtue of powers vested with Government under section 7 (E) of APPL Act,1960 (Act VIII as subsequently amended) Government issued fresh instructions     Vide Annexure I to G.O. third read above through which the sitting fees to the selection committee members has been prescribed at Rs. 200/- per day for scrutiny of books for both state Scheme and Raja Ram Mohan Rai Foundation Scheme.

 

3.       The Director of Public Libraries, Hyderabad in the letter 4th read above has requested to consider the request of the members of Book Selection Committee to enhance their sitting fees from Rs. 200/- to 500/- keeping in view the day to day living expenses and in view of PRC 2005.

 

4.       The Government after careful consideration hereby amend the orders issued vide instruction No. VI, of Annexure I to G.O. third read above as follows:-

The State Level Book Selection Committee Members including the convenor are eligible for a sitting fee of Rs. 200/- per day for scrutiny of books for both State Scheme and Raja Ramohan Roy Library Foundation Scheme.

The State Level Book Selection Committee Members including the convener are eligible for a sitting fee of Rs. 300/- per day for scrutiny of books for both State Scheme and Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation Scheme. The Committee members not provided with conveyance from Government are eligible to draw a conveyance allowance of Rs. 200/- per day of sitting allowance.

5.       The Director of Public Libraries, Hyderabad is requested to take necessary action accordingly.
