FAQ on Postmatric Scholarships
1. How can I apply for a Postmatric Scholarship? A. Every year a notification is published in the Newspapers in the month of June/July for receipt of applications. Every year the last date for submission of filled in applications is September 30.
2. Whom should I approach for a Scholarship form?
A. You have to approach your college principal for a scholarship application form.
3. What is the eligibility criterion?
A. Eligible B.C. students who are studying postmatric courses like Inter, Degree, P.G, MBBS, B.Tech, BVSC, BSC (Ag), B.Ed, B.L etc, in recognized Government, aided and private unaided colleges in A.P. can apply.
The annual income limit for general courses should not exceed Rs. 33,500/- and for professional courses it is Rs.44, 500/-
4. Can BC students studying outside A.P. apply for scholarship?
A. With the same eligibility criterion as mentioned in FAQ3, the student can obtain the Postmatric scholarship application from the Dist. B.C.Welfare officer of the concerned district on requisition.
5. How can I apply for Tuition fees reimbursement?
A. The BC students who fulfill the eligibility criterion for applying for Scholarships can apply for tuition fees reimbursement also.
FAQ on Hostels
6. How can I get admission to a BC Hostel?
A. B.C. Welfare hostels are meant for pre-matric boarders. Every year admission is given in the month of May-June.
7. Where can I get the application form?
A. Application forms are issued in the respective hostels or Assistant B.C.Welfare Offices in the districts.
FAQ on Inter Caste Marriage incentives
8. Is there any application form for getting an Inter Caste Marriage incentive?
A. For sanction of intercaste marriage incentive, application can be given on a white paper, enclosing two photos of the marriage, caste and income certificates of the husband and wife, along with proof of first marriage.

9. What are the details of coaching offered by A.P.Study Circles?
A. The coaching schedule of AP. Study Circles for BCs is designed according to the notification for various posts and entrance examinations. The aspiring student can contact the respective Study Circle Directors.

10. Who is to be contacted for inclusion or deletion of a caste from the list of Backward classes?
A. The A.P. B.C. Commission is the competent authority to receive representations for inclusion or deletion of a caste from the list of Backward Classes.
